CROSSROAD BARNWOOD
Here in Memphis Tennessee where we build Postal Guitars you have to realize that we are the other Tennessee.
Not the Music Row Powerhouse part of the state, we are in the delta laying up next to the Mississippi Delta.
So if you were to drive down Highway 61 which connected the Delta Blues to the Electric Blues that they play up in Chicago you would pass near the very Cross Road where some people say Robert Johnson may or may not have done a deal.
I was droving 61 some years back when I noticed that there were many barns having been left to the elements for several decades.
If you go round and ask with some respect often the people living there would allow you to take home some of that Barn Wood if you weren't greedy.
It is out of this wood I built the first generations of the Cross Road Guitar. We keep them nice and rough using what ever wood the barn was built with.
I keep the texture that comes with the wood making each guitar unique.
I still find all the wood I use close to home here in Memphis.
